Quick 3 yard quilt finished

The Sew Yeah quilting family hosted a challenge: use 3 yards of fabric purchased at Sew Yeah Quilting and make a quilt. So I did. I used 3 yards of woven fabrics that I purchased during one of the destash events. As fabric goes, it is very lightweight; I was concerned about how it would hold up to being sewn and then quilted.

I used Best Press to stabilize the fabric. I chose a pattern with big pieces and no angles. I stabilized the back with more Best Press. It was very quick to piece. I quilted it on my domestic machine, it is diagonal wavy lines going in one direction only. That was challenging as the fabric stretched and wobbled. It seems to have come out okay though and I have a nice lightweight quilt for summer use.
